THE BRIEF

The Dunlops were looking for a kitchen that would maximise both functionality and visual appeal. Creating an ergonomic layout was a key priority, ensuring that every element of the kitchen was positioned to support efficient day-to-day use while maintaining a spacious and welcoming feel.As with many kitchen projects, the design evolved over time. Exploring different layouts and design options was an important part of the journey, allowing every detail to be carefully refined until the perfect solution was achieved. Throughout the planning process, the focus remained on creating a kitchen that reflected the client's vision while incorporating practical design principles that would enhance everyday living.By working collaboratively and considering every aspect of how the space would be used, the final design successfully combines timeless aesthetics with exceptional usability.

THE DESIGN

At the heart of the project is the Shaldon skinny shaker kitchen, finished in a striking combination of Marine and Stone. This carefully balanced palette creates a beautiful contrast, introducing depth and character while maintaining a refined and sophisticated appearance.The rich Marine cabinetry provides a bold focal point within the design, while the softer Stone elements bring warmth and balance to the overall scheme. Matching Stone carcases ensure a seamless and cohesive finish throughout the kitchen, enhancing the quality and attention to detail evident in every aspect of the design.Brushed knob and cup handles were selected to complement the shaker styling, adding traditional character and subtle texture while perfectly enhancing the timeless aesthetic of the cabinetry.To complete the design, 30mm Kinawa White granite worktops were chosen for their natural beauty, durability and elegant appearance. The granite introduces movement and visual interest while providing a robust surface capable of withstanding the demands of everyday family life.The result is a kitchen that feels both classic and contemporary, combining traditional shaker influences with a fresh and modern colour palette.

THOUGHTFUL FUNCTIONALITY

While aesthetics were an important consideration, practicality remained central to the design.Careful planning ensured the layout worked efficiently, creating a kitchen that feels intuitive to use and tailored to the needs of the household. Every element was positioned with functionality in mind, helping to create a space that is as comfortable to work in as it is attractive to look at.Premium Neff appliances were integrated throughout the kitchen, providing reliable performance and modern convenience while maintaining the clean lines of the overall design.A Franke sink paired with a Quooker boiling water tap enhances the functionality of the space, providing everyday convenience and supporting the kitchen's role as the hub of the home.Each design decision was carefully considered to ensure the finished kitchen delivers exceptional usability without compromising on style.
