THE BRIEF

The Giblins were looking for a kitchen that felt warm, welcoming and highly functional. They wanted a design that would maximise storage, maintain uncluttered work surfaces and provide a layout that worked effortlessly for everyday family life.A particular priority was finding a solution to keep smaller countertop appliances neatly hidden from view while remaining easily accessible when needed. Maintaining a clean and organised appearance was central to the overall aesthetic they wished to achieve.To address this requirement, the design incorporated a bespoke wooden tambour unit, providing a dedicated space for everyday appliances. This practical feature allows frequently used items to be stored discreetly behind beautifully crafted tambour doors, preserving the clean lines of the kitchen while ensuring convenience is never compromised.From the earliest stages of the project, the focus remained on creating a kitchen that combined exceptional practicality with a sophisticated and timeless appearance.

THE DESIGN

At the heart of the project is a striking combination of Belsay Smooth Cashmere shaker cabinetry and Natural Hickory Oak slab doors, creating a design that balances softness, texture and warmth.The smooth Cashmere shaker doors introduce a timeless and elegant character, while the Natural Hickory Oak elements add natural warmth and visual contrast. Matching carcases throughout ensure a seamless and cohesive finish, enhancing the overall sense of quality and craftsmanship.Antique brass handles were carefully selected to complement the cabinetry, introducing subtle character and refinement while enhancing the kitchen's inviting aesthetic.To complete the design, 20mm Misterio Gold quartz worktops were chosen for their luxurious appearance and practical durability. The beautiful veining and warm tones within the quartz add depth and sophistication, creating a stunning focal point while providing a highly resilient surface for everyday use.The result is a kitchen that feels contemporary yet timeless, with a carefully balanced palette of soft painted finishes, natural wood textures and elegant metallic detailing.

THOUGHTFUL FUNCTIONALITY

While aesthetics were important, functionality remained at the centre of every design decision.Premium Neff appliances were seamlessly integrated throughout the kitchen, delivering outstanding performance while maintaining the clean and cohesive appearance of the cabinetry.A Franke sink was selected to complement the overall design, providing durability, practicality and understated style within one of the kitchen's most heavily used areas.The bespoke tambour unit further enhances the kitchen's functionality, offering a dedicated storage solution that keeps smaller appliances readily accessible without compromising the streamlined appearance of the space.Every aspect of the design was carefully considered to ensure the kitchen not only looks beautiful but works effortlessly for modern living.
